As part of the high-profile launch campaign Boots took pre-launch orders for the products through a co-branded website www.Boots.com/Fusion and digital communications agency 20:20 designed a groundbreaking multi-player football-themed viral game for the website. Consumers were directed to the website via an email campaign, in-store communications and viral seeding.
‘Free Kick Fusion’ (www.freekickfusion.com) is a ground-breaking multi-player game which challenges the player to score as many free kicks as possible using their skill, accuracy and control to master the progressively harder levels.
Over 4 years since launch, and now unbranded by Gillette, the game has had over 15 million unique visits and currently receives 500,000 visits per month. This offers a unique opportunity for clients to seed offers to an existing and highly engaged community of gamers through the game.
